Where the Movement began

    Where the movement began.

How Emotional Insourcing came to be — and why it is a movement.

    The Origin

    Every movement has an origin.

This one, too, lies in a personal experience — because every honest teaching begins personally. But what grew out of it no longer belongs to one person. It belongs to a movement of people walking the same path, without having to walk it alone.

    Marco Pasini

    Entrepreneur since 2009. Head-first until 2024.

For 38.5 years I lived mostly in my head. I either ignored, optimized, or managed my emotions and my body. In any case: I didn't take them seriously.

At 25, a first mini-burnout — a short warning I didn't understand. My answer was a decade of obsessive self-optimization. Endure more. Push harder. Function more efficiently. For a long time, that seemed to work. Just like the image of the "strong" leader I had absorbed. The one who has to solve everything. Who controls instead of trusting.

At some point a moment came when it stopped working. Out of need, not insight, I became vulnerable in my leadership. For the first time I said "I don't know — can you help me?" — not because I thought it was wise, but because I had no other lever left.

In the twelve months that followed, revenue doubled. I didn't see the connection back then. I thought it was the market.

Then came what I had feared for years like a specter: the insolvency of my company. I was convinced it would destroy me. Instead, peace arrived. No breakdown, no fight — a quiet, clear "finally."

In that moment it became clear to me: all my strategies, all my mechanisms, all my stories — they lived only in my head. And I had no idea what actually drives me.

What followed was a rabbit hole. I wanted to understand how we humans actually work. Why we tell ourselves stories that keep us small. Why being hard on yourself gets mistaken for strength. And why what commonly counts as "strong leadership" is, in many cases, its opposite.

That search became a new drive. The drive became a new mission. And out of the mission, Emotional Insourcing was born.

    Why now

I believe the business world needs a radical re-think. Especially now, in the Agentic Age, when we risk forgetting what makes us human. And not just since AI: the separation of head and body was never healthy — it is only becoming impossible to overlook.

Being human becomes the superpower in a time when everything else becomes scalable.

My work today is driven by a refusal: that peak performance and emotional health must exclude each other. That profit and humanity are opposites. That a world driven by fear is the only option.

It is not. A world carried by love instead of fear is possible. Emotional Insourcing is the attempt to build it — starting with those who carry responsibility and want to change something in it.

    Who carries the teaching

Marco Pasini is Head Coach of the movement, a certified Positive Intelligence® coach (Stanford-researched framework by Shirzad Chamine), and co-founder of the boutique consultancy MPATHY Consulting, with which he helps purpose-driven companies and family businesses stay resilient in the age of convergence.

The movement doesn't begin with a story. It begins with an experience.
